VIRON Labs is alive.
VIRON Labs is the beginning of a paragliding instrument project from Slovenia.
The idea is simple: flying already takes enough attention. A flight instrument should help the pilot understand what matters, without adding more noise, stress, or unnecessary complexity.
VIRON is being developed as a family of calm flight-awareness instruments for paragliding pilots. The focus is on intelligent audio, simple decisions, landing safety, traffic awareness, and later air and thermal intelligence.
This is not a finished product announcement. It is the start of an open development journey.
The current advanced prototype is VIRON Atlas, a larger visual flight computer used to test maps, landing-target logic, blackbox logging, audio behavior, sensors, and future traffic-awareness ideas.
The first planned commercial product direction is VIRON Horizon: a smaller, more focused smart vario built around the same philosophy, but with a simpler and more realistic path toward a first product.
The goal is not to build just another vario. The goal is to build an instrument that feels calm, clear, and useful in real flight.
Before flight: configurable. During flight: obvious.
VIRON will be developed step by step, with real pilots, real test flights, and honest feedback before any broad commercial launch.
If you are a pilot, instructor, flight school, hardware partner, or just someone interested in calm and useful paragliding instruments, you are welcome to follow the development or join the beta interest list.
